The under 18 Girls came back from 2 goals down to overpower a spirited Pwlleli team.

After a three hour journey through the winding roads of mid Wales to Tywyn, the girls were caught napping and conceded a scrambled goal in the first few minutes of the game.

Swansea immediately pushed forward looking to get back into the game, only to get caught out again by a fast Pwlleli counter-attack that saw the North Wales side take a deserved 2-0 lead after 10 minutes.

The game continued in this way, with Swansea putting a lot of pressure on the Pwlleli defense, and Pwlleli counter-attacking at speed.
Swansea got back into the game with a Hannah Williams goal and then leveled the scores just before half time with a goal from Nonny Griffiths.

The second half saw the Swansea girls get used to the slow surface and gradually take control of the game. The goals started to come at regular intervals with Toni-Lee-Lambert, Izzy Malinovszky, Phoebe Perkins, Hannah Williams and Nonny Griffiths all scoring one each in the second half to make the final score a flattering 7-1.

Next Sunday (29th of April) Swansea City take on Penarth in the Welsh cup final at 12.00 at Ashleigh Road in Swansea. Come down to support our girls!
