Volunteering for Swansea Hockey Club

Volunteering:

Whilst things may be quiet pitch side, I can assure this is not the same for non-pitch side activities. The board are investing this “down time” into planning and preparation for the new hockey season and beyond.
There are ambitious and exciting plans to position Swansea Hockey Club as a leading member of the hockey family in Wales, the UK and Europe.
If you like the sound of what we are planning and would like to be an integral part of these plans, then we want to hear from you. We are looking (whether these may be existing senior or junior club members, seasoned campaigners, supporters or parents) to recruit volunteers who can spare up to 3-4 hours each to support our board members by joining a sub-committee in key areas around:
League and Non-league Fixtures
Fund-raising and Events
Marketing and Publicity
Secretarial and Finance
Catering and Hospitality
Whilst it would be useful if you have any specialisms or expertise in these areas, it’s not a pre-requisite, neither do you have to be hockey mad (although it helps). We’re as equally interested to hear from people who are enthusiastic, dependable, not afraid to think outside the box or challenge the “norm” and are committed to helping us achieve our goals.
In return we can offer you the opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, where appropriate add something to your CV or your DofE and gain a sense of achievement.
If you would like to offer up your time to support the club, then please drop us a line saying who you are, what particular area you would be interested in and provide a contact number. Please note: For any junior volunteers, we will need parental agreement.

The Club is in need of volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering for the club and assisting Board members with their roles, please contact volunteers@swanseahc.co.uk .

Thank you. And remember to stay home and stay safe!
